The Beaver Valley Amateur Radio Association (BVARA) held a hands-on STEM youth outreach event in Beaver County, introducing middle and high school students to science, technology, and radio frequency fundamentals.
Students built working dipole antennas, practiced Morse code (CW) using telegraph keys, and observed real-time radio telemetry reception from amateur radio satellites passing over Western Pennsylvania. The initiative aims to inspire the next generation of RF engineers and ham radio operators.
